Based on David Guterson’s bestselling Faulkner Award work of fiction, the spellbinding story is set in a historically accurate background that highlights the fear and prejudice against Japanese Americans in the Puget Sound during WW II. Issues raised in this movie echo down through the decades to us today.

Following the movie, Bonner County Human Rights Board members Todd Crossett, and Lynn Bridges along with Todd's daughter, Sam, will lead a group discussion on important issues raised.
